Crew

Started racing in Super Street with a -65 Chevelle in 95, before he moved up to Super Comp the following year. In Super Comp, Paul Ingar won two NDRS Championships, one Norwegian Championship and was elected Drag Racer of the Year by AMCAR. In 2007 he moved up into the FIA ranks and got his Top Methanol Dragster license and is now chasing his first TMD win. 

Thor joined the team in 2004, and is the Crew Chief on Paul Ingar's Top Methanol Dragster. He has been a mechanic and owner of both a Pro Stock Bike and a Top Fuel Dragster, together with teammate Øyvor Jacobsen; as well as working for Viveca Averstedt, both in Europe and the US. Was a part of the crew of Gardermoen Raceway from 1998 - 2004, before he joined Islanders. As well as being Crew Chief, Thor also drives the coach the long way from Norway and to the different races. 

Drove a Super Comp car in 94 - 95, before he bought a car with Top Methanol Funny Car driver Arvid Grødem. He now does the clutch on Paul Ingar's Top Methanol Dragster. 

No other team gets as good and delightful food as the Islanders, and it's all thanks to Mona! She keeps us all well-fed, and surprises with both waffles and sandwiches while the guys work hard on the dragster. 

Grew up on the race track and has been racing for ten years. Started racing Junior Dragster at the age of eight and got her Super Comp license in 2010.

Became interested in Drag Racing in 1981, but then as a spectator. Six years later he took his first license, and has been working as a mechanic since 1990. Konrad has been racing in various classes like Super Street, Super Gas and Super Comp. Joined Islanders Drag Racing Team the year we moved up to Top Methanol Dragster. 

Started racing in Steet Legal in 2000 with a 67 Chevelle, and ran a 9,8 seconds and 225 km/h as best. From 2005 - 2008 he raced in Pro Street with a 67 Camaro, and has a career best E.T. and speed of 8,15 seconds/270 km/h. Helge also have a drifting car, and is often seen on the local track. 

Raymond started with Drag Racing in 1996 as a mechanic for Paul Ingar. From 2002 - 2007 he worked with his daughter, Annette, who drove a Junior Dragster. Since 2008 Raymond has worked as Crew Chief on two different cars, before he in 2010 began working on Paul Ingar's Top Methanol Dragster. 

Maja has been around Drag Racing all of her life, and drives one of the Islanders Junior Dragster. She helps around the pit and does her own oil change on the Junior Dragster. 

Øyvor's first meeting with drag racing was in Orsa, Sweden in 1984. Since then she has been quicker and faster than most women, both on two and four wheels, as she raced Pro Stock Bike from 86 - 88 and then Top Fuel Dragster from 91 - 93. 

Stig helped out with everything both on and off the track, and it was as his home the Islanders Drag Racng Team had its garage, and where the dragster was stored during the off-season and between the races. Stig lost his fight against cancer on the night of July 13th 2011, and he will truly be missed by all of us. We're racing in your memory, Stig! 

Andreas was stand-in in a couple of races in the 2009 season, before he joined the team in 2010. He does a little bit of everything around the pit, but is getting to know more about the clutch. 

Rune became a part of Islanders Drag Racing Team in -97 and has been a part of the team ever since. 

Mari has been around Drag Racing all of her life, and got her Junior Dragster license in June 2011.
